In 2024, SRM RUN returned with its eighth edition, setting new records and reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation with the largest Eco Run to date. SRM RUN 8.0, held on the morning of 17th September 2024, saw an overwhelming participation of eco-conscious runners from all corners of the campus and beyond. With the overarching theme of "Run for Zero Hunger," thousands of participants laced up their running shoes to cover a scenic route that highlighted the beauty of nature and the need for its preservation.

The marathon was not just a race but a movement, aimed at raising awareness about sustainable living and the importance of reducing our carbon footprint. From students to faculty, every participant embodied the spirit of sustainability.

SRM RUN 8.0’s record-breaking turnout proved that the SRM community is dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet. The event concluded with a tree-planting ceremony, further reinforcing the mission of Aaruush to inspire action for the preservation of the environment.
